#FoodieFriDIY no. 59 Playing With Food

Except for the rain, I’m really happy as we head into this weekend. I don’t want to elaborate too much yet as many of the things that are making me happy are actually still in that “I don’t want to jinx myself yet” stage that is making me pause every few words as I type this.

So, let’s leave it at declaring my happiness for the moment, as nondescript as that might seem, and move on to the party…which is the real reason you are here this week in the first place!

This party should be labelled “Playing With Food” because so many of the things you guys made last week were inspirational and fun. (Did any of you ever have English teachers that scolded children when they used that word? Alas, we’ve already established how nondescript I am being.)

Dark Chocolate Brownie Cake with Salted Caramel Glaze @ A La Place Clichy

Chicken Jalapeno Popper Egg Rolls @ Eat It and Say Yum

Red Velvet Cookie Dough Bars @ Homemade Hooplah

Pineapple Vodka Limeade Recipe @ Homecooking Memories

Chocolate Pavlova with Espresso Whipped Topping @ Ariel Louise

Of course, with all of that decadence, I vote you all head over and like these ladies’ Pinterest pages!

And then do us, your hosts (of course). And then let us know so we can follow you back!

And finally, before I leave you with the link up, please take a quick peak at some of the (not so many) rules we have that help keep things running smoothly week after week:
1. Link up your favorite recipes and projects from your own blog. You may use round ups but please make sure they include links to recipes or tutorials. We would appreciate you linking up different posts week to week …we reserve the right to delete duplicates.
2. We think you are all awesome and love meeting new bloggers (and more awesome people) each week. We´d love if you spread the word about the party in some way, shape, or form!
3. We´re not a pushy group…no real requirements (except that you be a recipe or DIY blogger), but if you can, try to visit another link or two and leave a thoughtful comment. Give someone a shout out on social media. Use the hashtag #FoodieFridaysDIY…we’re trying to grow a community for all of us, and it’s always nice to make new friends.
4. If you’d like to include our button on your sidebar or your link party page, or even a link back on the individual post you linked up, we’d love it, but again, there is no requirement to do so.
5. We have a community on Facebook and we like to share! Let us know if you want to join in on the fun!
Happy pinning!
