Have you ever had one of those weeks were things should have been relatively low-key turn into your personal week from… well someplace really hot (and we’re not talking the tropics)?
That was my week. Hence, even though I have about 4 perfected recipes I’m just dying to get out to you…none of them made it to my blog.
Dilemma number one involves me spending a few hours creating a course syllabus which is both good and incredibly annoying. Good because it’s always good to know where your teaching is going and what kinds of things you are going to plan in the classroom. Annoying because I live in a country where planning is the same as playing dressup and make-believe in the backyard when you are 5. (Pocahontas princess right here, folks!) It’s totally not real. I know as soon as I submit my diligently drafted lesson plan schedule, they’re going to plan a field trip, tell me class is cancelled for tests, or somehow manage to change the duration of the school year – it could totally happen here. Maybe not, but I’m pretty sure they didn’t know the official dates for the semester until about a week before school started.
Dilemma number two? My biggest blogging day (Wednesday) turned into a hearty game of “Who turned off the lights?” Electricity out? Check. Paid? Check. Circuit breaker? Not working. (It that what it’s called?) 5 am wake up call to finish my homework? Not on your life.
So, we’ll give it a try again this weekend and see if I can FINALLY whip up something bloggable. In the meantime, I have no qualms wandering the blogging realm and checking out everyone else’s lovely creations!
Check out my picks for this week and head over to their blogs to show them a little love on Pinterest!
I know I’ve said this before, but make sure you check out your hosts’ Pinterest accounts – and make sure you tell us so we can follow you back!

And finally, before I leave you with the link up, please take a quick peak at some of the (not so many) rules we have that help keep things running smoothly week after week:
1. Link up your favorite recipes and projects from your own blog. You may use round ups but please make sure they include links to recipes or tutorials. We would appreciate you linking up different posts week to week …we reserve the right to delete duplicates.
2. We think you are all awesome and love meeting new bloggers (and more awesome people) each week. We´d love if you spread the word about the party in some way, shape, or form!
3. We´re not a pushy group…no real requirements (except that you be a recipe or DIY blogger), but if you can, try to visit another link or two and leave a thoughtful comment. Give someone a shout out on social media. Use the hashtag #FoodieFridaysDIY…we’re trying to grow a community for all of us, and it’s always nice to make new friends.
4. If you’d like to include our button on your sidebar or your link party page, or even a link back on the individual post you linked up, we’d love it, but again, there is no requirement to do so.
