#FoodieFriDIY no. 35

Welcome to Foodie FriDIY everyone…I hope you had fun in the kitchen this week. I did – I just didn’t document my exploits very well this time around. I’ve been insanely busy trying to catch up on all my schoolwork.

I spent so much time sleeping over my vacation (8.30 feels so right) that I forgot how productive I can be if I roll out of bed at 6.30. I’m actually kind of a morning person (you may have already guessed that given 8.30 feels like sleeping in…I have a sister who would be scoffing…as she reads this post over a bowl of oatmeal…at 2 pm). So the last week my brain has been on turbo-charge and I have….

GOT THINGS DONE! Turns out a coffee and a little sleep deprivation are good for my study mode.

So are most of my favorites this week…cakes, pizzas, soups. Breakfast, lunch, dinner. A lot of these things are seriously awesome because they work well on the fly. (And guys, I’m the kind of student who lives on the edge…I’ll bake a cake at the expense of homework if it means having cake to motivate my study sessions throughout the week).

Anyway, make sure you check out these insanely delicious recipes and maybe even give them a little shout out on social media. Remember, we blog together, we grow together. (Yes, I’m officially just making things up now.)

Welcome to the Foodie FriDIY Link Party starting every Thursday and running to Sunday

Caramel Apple Bundt Cake @ A Mother Thing (Mothers always know best. Who am I to argue?)

Chicken Spinach Cream Cheese Tortilla Wrap @ Tried & Tasty (Do I have your permission to add a heaping handful of parmesan?)

Homemade Maple Almond Granola @ A Homemade Living (AKA -Brain food. )

Bean and Cheese Pupusas @ Sustaining the Powers (Where’s my curtido?)

Chicken Sausage Shrimp Gumbo @ This Cookin’ Dad (Because it’s almost Spring Break and we need to go someplace warm. Even if it’s just a bowl of soup.)

Salted Dark Chocolate Cashew Butter @ Housewife In Training (Feed me by the spoonful. Just don’t judge.)

Shrimp Scampi Pizza @ Cooking With Curls (Those shrimpies scampered over to the right place, I’d say.)

Chocolate Chip Banana Bread Cookies @ Reasons To Skip The Housework (and studying apparently)

Now, I know you’re drooling. I know you’re ready to get your own delicious recipes up and out there…but remember to stop by the hostesses’ Pinterest profiles and give us a ‘follow’… let me know and I’ll follow you back!

And finally, before I leave you with the link up, please take a quick peak at some of the (not so many) rules we have that help keep things running smoothly week after week:

1. Link up your favorite recipes and projects from your own blog. You may use round ups but please make sure they include links to recipes or tutorials. We would appreciate you linking up different posts week to week …we reserve the right to delete duplicates.

2. We think you are all awesome and love meeting new bloggers (and more awesome people) each week. We´d love if you spread the word about the party in some way, shape, or form!

3. We´re not a pushy group…no real requirements (except that you be a recipe or DIY blogger), but if you can, try to visit another link or two and leave a thoughtful comment. Give someone a shout out on social media. Use the hashtag #FoodieFridaysDIY…we’re trying to grow a community for all of us, and it’s always nice to make new friends.

4. If you’d like to include our button on your sidebar or your link party page, or even a link back on the individual post you linked up, we’d love it, but again, there is no requirement to do so.
